Eddie was still shaking, but her powers was in check and she was calm…er. She watched him closely, worried he wasn’t calm yet until he let out a sigh and Eddie guessed she was safe. Eddie hated this. She hated her life. She hated living like this. It wasn’t living, it was evil roulette and she hated it. Eddie felt tears swelling in her eyes, but she didn’t cry, letting herself do so might release the very fragile hold she had on her ability and she couldn’t afford that. Eddie didn’t speak, she simply nodded at his words and looked down to her knees. Her mind was still racing with her self hatred and the wonder of what he’d do now that he was free of her extra strength. Though he seemed not to like the boost, she was still worried he’d change his mind, it wouldnt’ be the first time. Eddie just watched him closely, waiting for the worse.
there were so few moments in his walking that he had to fight the demon within with such restraint. it was a painful experience, to combat what he was and force it into retreat. the urging from the woman’s power had weakened for the most and he had his control. the vampire was unable to stand upright fully, however. almost doubled over from what had seemed to be little to no exertion, exhaustion swept through. the hunger settled in the pit of his stomach and nagged at the back of his mind but it was easily ignored. picking his gaze up so that he could look to the woman, he could see the range of emotions flying across her features. it was obvious she had little control over what she could do. what a curse.
